Located at 275 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319, Firestone Family Dental operates as a dentist serving Akron in Ohio. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Went here with tooth pain and ended up needing a filling and a crown on separate teeth. I'll try to keep it short while still accurately representing my experience: The first painful tooth just needed a filling. During the filling the dental assistant that did the work had trouble removing the band after the filling was done, and yanked on it hard enough to loosen the tooth and cause ongoing pain. I brought this to their attention and they redid the filling a few weeks later, which did not solve the pain. I tried to explain to several people what had happened, but everyone seemed unwilling to acknowledge what I was saying (I assume for liability sake). When the second filling didn't work I was redirected to an endodontist. It is now about 10 months later and I still have intermittent pain. The endo did not recommend a root canal at this stage, so I'm just hoping it gets better over time. The second tooth needed a crown, which I had done. About a month after the crown my pain returned and I went back. The dental assistant took Xrays and referred me to an endodontist. I ended up needing a root canal, which required me to return to have them replace the permanent filling after the r

Just wanted to shout out Taylor today. She listened to me and provided me with quality care. She understood my anxiety and dealt with me accordingly. She explained the procedure thoroughly without making me feel bad or stupid. When clients come to the dentist, they really donβt want to hear what a horrible job of cleaning. I appreciate her and Dr. Sarah who also spoke with me and relieved my anxiety.
